What she did was clearly wrong but this crime in itself stemmed from deep patriarchy, now I'm just making assumptions here, the woman's family could have forced her into marrying a man. Pov from a mother who has a newborn baby. Taking care of a baby requires time and effort leaving no time and space for other work. Baby demands attention all the time and you need to be physically present for the baby. I assume the baby was a hindrance for the mother to continue her "other work" and she took such a step.

Was the accused mother depressed due to post parfum? Was the relationship with the other women before the wedding or after the wedding? Was the family members being supportive during her post partum. The goal should be, how can we make sure this to repeat in history. We need science backed research and action
